An online website is a platform between you and your clients, so you should take advantage of it in order to attract more customers and maintain friendly relationships with the current ones. Here are a couple of smart ways you can engage your clientele and make them become more interested in you, your personal training style, your fitness services and products, and your business!

Add interesting videos to your personal training website

Everyone loves to watch a video in order to get the information they need. Therefore, make sure that you dress comfortably, pick a nice spot in a gym club and you perform demonstrations of physical exercises you teach for your fitness trainings. If you explain everything very clearly and you have great communication skills, you will automatically attract a lot of persons who will become more interested in you and your services. Post such videos once in a while and ask your viewers for their questions or opinions to promote interactions.

Post informative articles

Informative articles like how-to’s and advice articles can be extremely helpful for the visitors of your personal training website and they will appreciate the sources of information they can learn about fitness. For example, you can write various types of articles about how to do proper warm-up before doing certain physical exercises, how much water it is recommended to drink each day, what to do in the case of a physical injury, and etc. Your fitness website visitors will start to follow such informative articles and they will come back for more on a regular basis. In addition, they will share these articles with their social circle, helping you gain exposure!

Post motivational sayings and funny images

Another great way you can engage your clients and visitors is by motivating them to work out every day with various inspirational quotes, famous sayings, interesting images, jokes and so on. A dose of humor is always welcomed and recommended on your fitness website, so don’t forget to use it once in a while. These types of content do get viral easily so if you play your cards right, this is a winner for you!

Create a comment section for your visitors

Once you have offered a plethora of materials to your clients, now you should let them comment and express their opinions. Therefore, make sure that you have a comment section on your fitness website and you engage in conversations with your users as much as possible. If your visitors see that you take your time to respond to their question and offer a multitude of useful pieces of advice, they will see you as a professional and even as a friend – they will gain more confidence in you!

This is so important, especially for a personal training site. What you are selling is mainly you as a product as well as your knowledge to help others in getting fit or ripped muscles. You shouldn’t hide from your clients and visitors because they would want know more about your experiences, your fitness background, your studies, and your overall fitness lifestyle. Making Your Fitness Website More Attractive

Taking advantage of the internet is a great idea if want to promote your fitness knowledge and motivate people to work out more often. Your fitness website can also help you find more clients, gain more credibility and make more money in the long run as well. Therefore, it is highly recommended to frequently update your fitness website and improve it as much as you can. Here are a couple of interesting tips and tricks you might want to put into practice in order to make your fitness website more attractive and eye-catching to your traffic.

1. Make your fitness website load faster. Time is precious for all of us and obviously, you don’t want your visitors to wait a very long period of time before they can see your website. They might become impatient, frustrated and they will leave quickly. In order to avoid this, make sure that you increase the loading speed of your website by removing unnecessary items from its web pages. As a result, your visitors will be able to find what they need quickly and they will become more interested in your fitness routines or fitness products you sell.

2. Make your fitness website pleasant to the eye. This can be achieved relatively simply. Just make sure that the design of your website doesn’t feature extremely bold colors or unattractive combinations of nuances which might make the eyes tired. Instead, opt for neutral colors which blend with each other perfectly which will give your visitors a great user experience.

3. Make your fitness website balanced in terms of content. In a similar fashion, it would be great if you find a way to balance the content on your website. For example, make sure that there are not too much long texts. For images, avoid extremes because no images or too many images with no text on your web pages will not please your users too. Try to find the perfect combination between text and image on all your fitness web pages and the result will be sublime and eye-catching.

4. Make your fitness website available for mobile phone usage. These days, pretty much everyone navigates on the internet using a mobile phone and you should take advantage of this by making your fitness website optimized for such devices. Just make sure that the mobile version of your website features the correct resolutions so it allows the visitor to easily access the web pages he is interested in and it allows him to find important information about your business with little to no effort.

5. Make sure that your fitness website doesn’t have grammar errors. Believe it or not, poor grammar and similar errors on your texts and articles can make the visitors think that you are unprofessional. You can actually lose a lot of clients because of this, so make sure that you proofread your texts before posting them on your web pages and you will have more peace of mind.

Creating A Website For Your Gym: The Importance Of Proper Navigation

4173736174_6f240f1637

If you are starting a gym or other similar facility, one of the most important things you can do is to make sure that you get a website for it. Today, there are many people who use the internet to find various goods and services. Not leveraging on this to make your gym more marketable is going to deny you an opportunity to do some easy but very effective marketing. In addition to that, you can easily get a custom made site without much of a hassle these days means that you don’t even need to worry about issues regarding cost or the complexity of the process.

Making your site more practical

If you are thinking of getting a site for the business, you also need to keep in mind that not just anything can do. Most people that a site, even if it’s just a plain one, is likely to turn out to be more than okay for such an application. However, you need to remember that most people these days are internet savvy, and will demand for more than just a plan site. In fact, if you end up with one that is too basic, you may end up scaring them away rather than encouraging them to use the services you offer. It is for this reason that you should always try to make your site more special. One of the most important things you can do in this regard is make it easy to navigate.

What are some of the things you can do to make it more navigable?

There are many things that determine how navigable a site is. These include how easy it is to see the hyperlinks in the text, the nature of the toolbar, the quality of the footer and how visually complex the site is in general. These are things that you should therefore pay attention to when designing the site in order to ensure that people using it don’t have much of a problem with navigation.

For instance, you need to ensure that the hyperlinks are set up in such a manner that they are distinct from all other text on the pages, and that they are easy to find. It’s also very important that you avoid cramming too much data on the site in the form of widgets, images and text. This makes the site very busy, and can make it more difficult for people to figure out how to get from one resource to the other.

All in all, it’s important that you try to be very thorough when coming up with the site for your gym, spa or any other similar business. The issue of navigation is an example of one that you should never take for granted. Making sure that the site is intuitive and very easy to use is actually a very powerful marketing tool, and one that you can’t therefore afford to neglect.

After putting the above in mind in designing the site’s navigation, you might also want to have a third party try to use it in order to identify navigation problems before you launch the site. This is an easy way of catching mistakes that you might have otherwise missed out on.

What Other Types of Businesses Could BodySiteBuilder.com Could be Used For?

We know that Bodysitebuilder.com is mainly geared toward massage therapists, but some of the themes are easy to interchange across the holistic health board too.  They all have a calming link between them, and all have an underlying theme of becoming a better you without major surgery or prescription medications.  Remember, we can change anything on our templates to give it your business’s personality into your website. Here are just a couple of businesses that could use a BodySiteBuilder website:

1.)  Hypnotherapists

We know there are plenty of hypnotherapists out there that are too busy helping people to sit down and make a website.  We’ve seen some pretty bad designs out there, but none like some of the hypnotherapist’s websites.  Our sites would be much of a step up, and easily interchangeable with colors and texts.  We can insert any photo relating more to the hypnotherapy field, and we have an appointment feature built into the site, already for you to get your business rolling.

2.)  Yoga Instructors

Since most of our themes already have a “calming” theme to them, this would be most easy to make for your business.  Again, just switch out some of the photos for yoga photos, possibly of you in action while teaching. It’s ok to think outside the box, and ask us if we can change something to make it more personal to your business.

3.)  Acupuncturists

Something we’ve noticed here at BodySiteBuilder is the lack of websites for any acupuncturists.  We’re not completely sure why this is, but we are big fans of you acupuncturists out there, and want to help you grow your business as well as helping others.  We can help with your website, and change it to your preference.

4.) Chiropractors

Chiropractors are under the body worker umbrella so it already fits the themes we have.  Of course, we would change the content and photos to be more focused on the spine, neck, and your work.  With us, you are getting the most bang for your buck!

5.)  Nutritionists

Even though they are not technically body workers, they certainly do a lot of good changes in people and the bodies and minds.  Like hypnotherapists, we believe there is not enough good web design being done for these workers to give them justice.  That’s where we come in, and try to save your business, and give you a respectable website.

10 Basic Tricks For Your Website To Blossom

Whether you are offering chiropractic services or are a fitness trainer, you want to have a website that will entice both new and existing customers. There is nothing like a clunky and cluttered website to drive away customers. Here are great tips for improving the key aspects of your website in order to make it enticing and attractive, and blossom into a real winner on the net.

Navigation

Put a good thought into site layout so that your visitors can navigate easily. All important sections should be listed prominently and if possible, link as many pages coherently as this move allows your site to be user-friendly.

Branding

Branding is key and you want to incorporate memorable elements such as your logo and color scheme into your website. Your company logo should be prominent on the home page and make sure you put it in all subsequent pages so as to promote your brand.

Home page

This is the first contact with your visitors so make sure that they are able to tell immediately what this website is all about. If the fitness training service is your line of business, then putting call to actions like “get started now” or “buy now” should be visually prominent on your home page.

Content

If you sell services or products online, make sure to provide complete and clear information to give your prospective customers the confidence to click and buy. Putting too much content on a page can make your audience get afraid to scroll down. However, too little content can make your customers suspicious too so strike a right balance.

Refresh content

If you want to draw your customers back, then you need to update your content often. A blog can be a great way to renew your content because you don’t have to make lots of changes on the code.

Think SEO

As you design your site, put those search engine optimization aspects in mind. Splashy graphics and photos can be great, but they cannot be read well by search engines. You can have a text link that prompts audience to view your portfolio instead of a using a graphical button. Texts are easily read by search engines.

Colors

Using complementary colors can make your text easily readable. For example, don’t clash colors such as text in red color placed on a blue background. This will make it hard to read and can turn off visitors.

Be accessible

Always ensure that your contact information is at the top or bottom of each and every page of your web site.

Sound

Did you know that music that plays automatically when visitors load your page can be an automatic turnoff? If you have sound, make sure it is easily and pleasantly disabled. The same goes for videos; if possible, have a button requesting your visitors to play the video to see what you offer or how things are done – only if your video is great!

Images

We all know the power of pictures and images. If for instance you are training people for physical fitness, then you should know that good photography is key by showing how you actually train and a few photos of yourself looking fit while training will certainly help!

5 Ways Having a Personal Trainer Website Helps your Business

With the world population starting to focus on getting healthy and taking care of their bodies personal trainers are in more demand than ever. There are also more options available to those folks who want to work out. Crossfit, Zumba, and Yoga are taking off as all the rage in any number of chain gyms all trying to get folks to work out with them. So what is a simple trainer going do to compete with all that? Get a website, and here’s why…

  • First Impressions are everything! A website will most likely be the first impression you make with a potential client. If your name doesn’t show up when someone searches for a personal trainer in their area, you are losing out on clients. How often do we go to the Internet to find anything anymore? Having your own website means you can do everything to make it optimized for search engines so these potential new clients find you.
  • Express Yourself. You are in control of the content. Explain what set you apart from the rest of the pack. And if all that shows up is a review website when people hear about your amazing training from a friend, you have no way of making sure the impression people get when they look for you and your training services is the one you want. Or a new gym member wants to research your services at home and think about it. Having your own website makes it easy for potential clients to find you.file7311249589896
  • Don’t Use a Facebook Page as Your Website!  This is just flat out, no.  While Facebook can create an area for you to promote yourself with amongst your friends, it doesn’t have the same professionalism that a freestanding website has for your business. You absolutely need a business Facebook page for that social media word of mouth, but if that is your only online presence it is not as versatile as your own website.
  • Look Updated and Informed. If you are up to date with your business, you will seem up to date with your skills and services as well. Not having a website, or worse having an outdated website, lends itself to the impression that you as a professional aren’t up to date. You can have a list of 30 different certifications but if I don’t see it anywhere, how do I know as a potential client?
  • Practice convenience. If you set up your online presence to stream well with your business you save yourself so many headaches. You can set up gift certificates, appointment schedulers, calendars, really anything you need to better run your business. Having it all set up in one place simplifies your life and that gives you more time for training and networking.

And with the number of different ways to have a website out there, there really is no excuse not to take the time and have a professional website dedicated to your practice. Some cost more but require little work from you, some are less expensive but will require you to do the editing. Ultimately you need to get your name out there where people are looking for it.

5 Mistakes to Avoid with your Massage Therapist Website

It is critical to any business today to have an online presence for its clients and consumers. Sadly time and time again,we see the same poor choices made in regards to website design. With the busy world we live in, your business cannot afford these mistakes.  What do I mean?

  • Make sure it works! Nothing is worse than having potential clients or your current clients click on your website only to be greeted with error messages. A subtler problem is to make sure the layout works as well. Nothing like links that have been pushed under images, or headers too small for all the information crammed in them so you lose navigation tabs. If your website does not work, these potential clients will think you do not work, which is the last impression you want to make on them.
  • Keep it simple! The home page, the first page your audience sees, should be to the point, and capture their attention. Seeing a wall of text has no appeal. On the flip side make sure you are saying something, and that it is relevant enough to make me want to read more. Your home page is your summary. All the details belong on the other pages.
  • Don’t confuse them! Make sure that your design is done so they know where to go. Replacing text links with pictures sounds like a cute idea, but makes it harder for potential clients to figure out where to go, which makes it more likely they will just leave the website. And make sure those text links make sense. Calling your “About Us” page “meditations “ does not give a clear idea about the intent of the link.

blog-pic-3-keys

  • Less is more! You may think that having 14 different subpages after your home index is a good idea, but rarely will people read past the first 5 or 6, and if they don’t see what they need they try a different website.  Try to group different sections into categories so that your potential clients can find what they are interested in and not be overwhelmed.
  • Appearance matters! Not just the functionality discussed above, but also the look. You want to make sure your website isn’t outdated in appearance.  You want to make sure it is visually attractive and sets the tone and feel of what you want your practice to represent. If you cater to a younger crowd, make sure your website is appealing to them. If the corporate world is your target, then a more professional appearance.

And sadly, we came up with all of these suggestions simply by typing massage therapy into google and looking at therapist websites. All of these mistakes were present in live, functional websites. These websites will deter potential clients, because they don’t have the time to figure out how to work your malfunctioning website.  People are busy these days, which means you need to have a good website to grab their attention with a 4 second time span. It’s ok, we’re here to help.

The 5 Best Photo Sources for Massage Therapy Websites

So you are sitting there trying to decide which pictures to use for your website. And the ones you took from your phone look a little blurry, your buddy got this great shot of the building it also got one of your clients who wants to be anonymous in it, and professional photographers are not cheap. So what’s a poor massage therapist (or physical therapist, or any body worker for that matter) supposed to do?

Well it may shock you to know that there are some really good free, or nearly free, photos out there if you know where, and how, to look for them. So without further ado…

  • Bigstockphoto.com This website has a featured free image every day. Not that useful. But they do have inexpensive, quality photos to choose from, and more importantly, don’t require any fancy knowledge. Just buy a credit package, and depending on the size of the photo, it can cost between 1 and 6 credits. The really, super nice feature? I see a photo that is close to what I want but just not right.  Below that image will be related images. Sometimes from the same shoot and a different arrangement, or a similar layout from a different shoot, and suggested keywords to try and find exactly what you are looking for in a photo. So while there is a cost, it’s ease of use saves you so much time it’s almost negligible.
  • Rgbstock.com We can’t provide photos from this company, but you as the end user may search and add them to your website to your hearts content.  Registering is easy. You can use several different social website logins, or simply fill in 3 fields on the RGBstock. Simply start searching and downloading. When you look at a photo it gives you all the keywords that photo was tagged with so you have an idea of how to search to find more of them. Not quite as super easy to navigate like BigStock, but it is free for use.

puzzle pieces

  • Sxc.hu – Stock.XCHNG is another free photo website for you to look through to find just what you want. There is the simple search box on the top of the page and the ability to do an advanced search using multiple terms and looking in specific categories. Looking at a picture will also suggest similar pictures at the bottom and let you know what keywords were used for the photo. And what categories it was put in for helping to refine your searches. The layout is a little busy, and it takes some getting use to, but some really good tools if you want them.
  • Massagenerd.com This is an amazing resource. Not just for photos but that will be another post some day. You do have to give credit to Massagenerd.com when you use one of their pictures, and limit yourself to 5 of them on your website, but here you have a collection of massage photos by massage therapists. No need to search or wonder what they were thinking when they labeled that picture massage. Not my first choice only because you are limited to 5 photos and you do have to credit the photo. But a great resource nonetheless.
  • Morguefile.com This is our favorite free photo website. Simple, clean, and easy to use with great photos. Using multiple terms results in an advanced search for multiple keywords so I suggest simply using a single term for the most results.  Spa and massage are somewhat limited, but search for something like bamboo and the page just keeps going. Like the other general sites you have to do some digging to find the good massage photos you want, but I find it to be one of the easiest to use of the general sites that are free.

Check out the sites and see which one works best for you. Like any list this one is subjective to my preferences, but I think that all these websites have potential to help you find the best photo sources for your website.

Building An Empire From Your Home

Kentucky Fried Chicken, Napster, Microsoft, Apple and other billion dollar co-operations are the perfect examples of how this is not a pipe dream. Following the chronology of events that led to the beginning of these empires and their subsequent success will tell you one thing; dreaming is a major ingredient of business success; therefore next time you tell someone about your intentions, you should take their derision in the “in your dreams” comments as a positive thing.

These empires did not start with a lot of capital; neither did they start as big things, they started as business ideas which became actualized by committed people who were willing to embrace every change that came about in the dynamic market that is the twenty first century. In fact, most of them are initiators of these technological changes because they know that it is important to keep changing as long as it makes you efficient, lean and better at what you do.

There is no doubt that the internet has done all these things for businesses. They have transformed once small enterprises to mega businesses by sometimes even harnessing ideas from their clientele through the website suggestion box.

As experts in communication via the internet, we normally say that you will need to embrace the major steps toward making yourself relevant. If you are not ready for such a revelation just yet, you will never be ready. There are three things you will need – an efficient workforce, good advertising and a good website.

What do you need to know about setting up a website?

feature-repeat

1. It starts from somewhere

Many people fumble when making a website because they sometimes do not know what to do and they do not have money to hire certified professional. If you are young at creating websites, this is our moment to shine; it is the moment Eminem spoke about, it is where you lose yourself and you will let your work speak for you.

To start, you can begin with simple coding or downloading templates from the net and customizing them to suit your client’s needs. This will not take a lot of time and will be able to give them a universal look that is professional and acceptable.

2. It takes courage

Once you have your red bull, your crack your fingers and settle in – it will take courage and determination to come up with a website that will be regarded as phenomenal. It will be your making or breaking point, and therefore you will have to apply yourself and make it the best work you’ve ever done. This should be true for all your projects – make every project, every website better than the last and create a profile and reputation that will speak for itself.

3. Do your homework

Things online change every day. Someone comes up with new designs, new templates and new ideas. You need to keep abreast with the information and updates in the worldwide domains, the rules and updated policies that might affect your designs and so on. Information is power and it is your friend.
