4 Great Tips to Keep Your Social Media Updated

Between keeping track of appointments with clients, scheduling more appointments, and generally trying to stay organized, we know how hard it can be with running a massage, fitness, or physical therapy business and keeping up to date on all of the latest Internet trends. So we’ve organized 4 great tips for your convenience to help you integrate all your social media platforms into your weekly routine:

 Social-Media-commons-2

1.)  Spend at least 10-15 minutes a day on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Google+:

It’s really that simple!  Just show up, look around, and make an appearance.  Ok, well it might not be that easy, but what we’re trying to say is make an effort for a little time of your day, and it will take you a long way.  This can help your activity, attract new fans, and help your local “word of mouth” marketing.

2.)  Link your Facebook and Twitter account to each other:

This is SUCH a simple task, and can end up saving you some time.  What this does is if you post anything to your business’s Facebook, it will automatically be shared on Twitter.  It’s like getting a 2-for-1, and you get attention on both social media platforms.  Here is a great link with photos showing step-by-step how to link the two together:

3.)  Post one thing a day:

Clear and simple, right?  Some people have issues with coming up with something to post, which is understandable.  Just think about what you’re business’s voice is, and go from there.  You could post an inspirational quote, a healthy tip, a funny picture, or a question to get to know your audience more.

4.)  Share, Share, Share!:

So this can get a little tricky, but don’t worry! On Twitter, you should find a few local places around you, and some local news publications to follow.  There is a button that reads, “Retweet” and you will be able to repost and share it.  If you find an interesting article, post it for your audience to read as well.  This helps reach out to larger audiences, and you’ll find that more people will start to follow you, or like your page.

How to Grow Your Business with Facebook!

3 Ways to Get More Fans on Your Massage Business Facebook Page

  1. Promote Your Page

This is an important first step to getting the word out over the web about you and your massage therapy business. You can start by inviting your friends and family members to like your business page.  This will start as a good, solid base.  Then your next step is to go on your business’ Facebook admin panel, and click on the “Promote Page” button.  It may cost some money, but it is worth the small price.

  1. Post and Promote

Post status updates and post them frequently.  While posting, make sure to post content that involves and interacts with your fans.  Ask them questions, for their opinions, and then boost the post.  There will be a button under the post that will say, “Boost Post.” You will see the different payment plans you can choose from.  Now, we are not saying do this for every post you do.  We are saying try this when you feel you have something posted that you would like to reach a wider audience (like a newsletter, blog post, or a special).

  1. Link Up!

Post links that have to do with your website and articles that have to do with your field.  For example, you can post your most recent blog post, or newsletter, so you will drive more traffic to your website.  Or you could post an interesting article that you think is important for your audience to know.  This will drive more attention to be focused on your Facebook, and will lead to more “likes.”

Having more fans means more people who look you up on Facebook are more apt to trust your business, because all the other fans trust you.  If you try these three tips, you will surely be more popular on Facebook.

Get Noticed By Blogging

So for this month’s newsletter, we thought it would be nice to focus on one of Beth’s favorite topics: blogs! Most people think they don’t need a blog for their business, but it’s more of a key part to social media marketing than you know. Blogs can help drive traffic to your website, and shoot your business to the top of the search list at the same time! We offer a blog writing service, so feel free to contact us if you are interested in starting a blog. Here are some reasons why you should start a blog today.

People may search something that is contained in one of your blog topics, find it informative, and want to learn more about you and your business. The reader will become more likely to be attracted to your website. It’s important to understand that every reader is a potential client, and this is another way to help recruit new customers.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which means where you are ranked in search engine results. When blogs contain keywords and links related to your website’s pages, it helps your site rank higher because search engines like Google and Yahoo will recognize your website as the most recently updated site with the keywords.

Let’s say you are noticing your clients are asking the same questions. You can safely assume that if your clients have similar concerns, other people are asking the same question too. Posting the answers to these common questions in your blog is a way to drive traffic to your website, and ultimately, bring you and your business more attention. It helps you reach a larger audience and attract new clients.

5 Benefits to Blogging for your Massage Therapy Business

Many people don’t see how blogging can help improve their massage therapy  business – it may seem time consuming or like it takes just too much effort. However, it’s just the opposite. Business blogs are simple to create and relatively easy to maintain once you’ve become comfortable with your writing style and have developed a blogging persona. Plus, there are many benefits that can be gained from your efforts. To name a few:

  1. Search Engine Marketing. Want to be found more easily on Google? A frequently updated, keyword-optimized, relevant blog can seriously improve your ranking. Because blogs are text-based, contain HTML code (search engines like this), and are usually full of links, they are great for improving SEO (search engine optimization).

  2. Direct Communications.  Blogs can help to increase communication between businesses and their customers or potential customers. Once a blog is posted, you have the option of allowing people to comment on the post and give feedback. You can then respond to this feedback, showing your customers that you are interested in hearing what they have to say – this is so important!

  3. Brand Building. You can differentiate your business from the competition through your blog. By creating a blog persona and focusing on the wants and needs of your customers, you are able to deliver a clear message, establish credibility, and create customer loyalty. Blogs allow you to share your expertise, insights, and ideas, while gaining trust from your customers.

  4. Exploit Marketable Niches. Blogs are niche market penetration tools. Use them to target a single topic that’s relevant to your business or industry. For many industries, especially B2B, chances are good that you’ll be first to market – and being a first mover has its advantages.

  5. Lead Generation. By adding effective calls-to-action in your blogs, you are able to better generate leads. However, this does not mean that your blogs should be used as advertisements – you should focus on having blogs that are informative and engaging. A great call-to-action might be a newsletter subscription, ebook download, or a link to another section of your webpage. By offering a link to another part of your site, readers are more likely to spend more time on your webpage, increasing the chance of obtaining their business.

typewriterOne obvious question that always comes to mind when writing blogs is: What do I write about? Here are a few ideas to help get you started:

  • Write about your expertise or passion;

  • Discuss industry trends and breaking news;

  • Take ideas from customer reviews or testimonials;

  • Conduct interviews with industry leaders;

  • Discuss industry research data;

  • Cover your products and services;

  • Everyone loves lists, such as Top 10, 5 Steps, How to, etc.

In order for your blog to show the most results, you should post as often as time allows – the more blog posts, the better. You should try and write blogs that are between 350-600 words at least once a week. However, if you aren’t producing quality content, then you are simply wasting time. People would rather read a blog with substantial, quality content than a blog with no purpose!
